Matthew and I went home to Michigan to catch-up with our families and attend our friends’ wedding this past weekend- it was such a great weekend and a beautiful wedding. Congrats to Lindsay and Ryan! I was really excited to dress up, not because I had a new dress, but because I had re-purposed an old one from my sister’s wedding.
I had fallen in love with this dress that Megan chose for her bridal party last year, and I have been dying to wear it again. (It’s gorgeous, right?!) Only issue was that the dress was floor length, which I felt was a little too fancy for the weddings/events I would be wearing it to. The easy solution: Shorten the dress and add some chunky pearls… Voila! I was able to switch my bridesmaid gown into a cocktail dress that I will for sure use again and again. I’m really happy with the length and how easy it was to dance in.
With such great results, I decided I am going to shorten the dress from my sister Sarah’s wedding too! Just wait for that to come… it will soon be an LBD :) I guess I should really thank my sister, Megan, though… You gotta love the brides that give you something you will actually wear again! In this case, she really hit the nail on the head!

Mateito y yo viajamos a Michigan a ver nuestras familias y asistir a una boda de nuestros amigos- no divertíamos mucho y la boda era hermosa. Felicidades a Ryan y Lindsay! Estaba muy emocionada para ponerme de vestido, aunque no fue un vestido nuevo.
El año pasado mi hermana se casó y eligío los vestidos más elegantes y bonitos de todo el mundo para su partido! Me enamoré inmediatamente y he tenido ganas de llevarlo desde ese día. El unico problem fue que el vestido era muy largo, demasiado para los eventos en que quiera llevarlo. Sin embargo, la solución n fácil l era cortarlo! Era tan fácil y ahora tengo un vestido cocktail en vez de un vestido super formal, y puedo llevarlo a muchos eventos.
Estoy muy contento con el outcome y ahora tengo ganas de alter el vestido negro de la boda de mi otra hermana, Sarah.. ese vestido va a ser un LBD. Y supongo que debo agradecerle a mi hermana, Megan, por elegir un vestido pulido y elegante, que quería usar otra vez… los brides que eligen n vestidos así i son adoradas, verdad?!
