I promise this skirt was neatly ironed prior to wearing it.. after sitting all day though, it came out like this! :\

For the days that I don’t know what to wear and just need to get ready quickly, I use my go-to nine-to-five look: A blouse with a pencil skirt. This look never fails. Never! … When it doubt, go for it! It’s a classic combination that looks great on many figures.  Side note: For those of you who have the lovely hips/a booty like I do (ohhh how I hate love my hourglass figure…), I recommend you buy your skirt a size up or two (so it fits your hips properly) and take the waist in. I do this with almost all of my skirts and yes, it is annoying, but tailoring and fit is everything to a look. You can’t get away with wearing a pencil skirt at work if it is suctioned across your rear-end, so if you’ve got junk-in-the-trunk, find yourself a tailor! :) And once the skirt fits well, you can easily get by wearing bold colors… the silhouette is very professional, so feel free to add some personality to that long work day with cobalt blue, pink, coral, yellow… you get the idea! Para los días en que no tengo ninguna idea de lo que quiero llevar, uso mi “go-to look: Una blusa y una falda de lápiz. Nunca fracasa… es un look fácil y tiene éxito! La combinación es clásica para muchos estilos de cuerpo.  Ojo: Si tienen una cadera y pompas también, les recomiendo que compren su falda un tamaño más grande y ajusten la cintura- sé que no es ideal, pero es importante que se quede bien por todas partes la falda. No pueden llevar una falda apretada al trabajo o no parecerían profesional, verdad? Así que encuentren un sastre! Y cuando les queden bien sus faldas, las pueden combinar con colores brillantes. Ya que la silueta es profesional, no hay problema en llevar unos colores… Siguen luciendo profesional, pero con personalidad. Que look llevan ustedes para el trabajo a 9-5?
