Hi there! I hope you had a great weekend! Our weekend was super busy and it feels like I never got a day to just rest! That’s alright though, we had a great time. Not only did Michigan State win the big Ten Championships (woot woot!!) but we had a few great dates this weekend, including seeing the ballet (more to come on that this week!). These photos are from a wonderful brunch that Matt and I had at Top of the Hub, thanks to Marshalls. As a member of Project Fab, I was given the opportunity to make a date-night look and eat at a restaurant of my choice. I thought that Top of the Hub would be so fun because of its view of the city and lavish menu. Instead of a “date-night”, we opted for a day-date (mainly because our evenings have been packed, so we needed to go out during the day- I’m glad though, it was so fun!).

So brunch at TOTH was an experience, to say the least. It is four courses… uh.. what?!? We both ordered mimosas because it’s brunch soooo why not?! And we were given a yogurt parfait to start. I chose a grapefruit for my second course and matt went for a shrimp/crabmeat combo. I opted for the delicious french toast for my main course and, since it was past noon, Matt chose a regular dish: pasta. I always laugh because he loves to just pass on breakfast foods whenever he can, and I would prefer to eat pancakes, french toast and eggs for every meal! ;) We ended this brunch with little cupcakes with raspberry filling. I was so full I couldn’t finish mine, but the few bites I took were oh-so delicious!

If you’re ever in Boston, you have to brunch here. It is $40/person, which is hefty, but for a special occasion, it is so worth it. Such a fun experience, the view is amazing, the live music is soothing, and it makes for great memories!

So that was super long and only covered the food.. quickly i will say that I went to Marshalls to find this day-date look and, per usual, gravitated towards the shoes and dresses. I would say that about 50% of my shoes are from TJX stores (seriously!) and I have quite a few dresses from them as well! When I saw the checked pattern and fit n flare silhouette of this dress, I knew it was a keeper. It will be easy to transition for work-wear, and can be used throughout the year as I can layer during colder weather (as shown). I also found these ah-maaa-zing OTK boots that didn’t work with this outfit, but that I WILL show you all so soon. They are fabulous and I can’t believe there was ONE pair left in my size (can you say meant-to-be?!).

So that’s it for me! This certainly doesn’t cover half our crazy weekend, but at least you know about my Sunday morning haha! Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by!

¡Hola!

Looks like a fabulous brunch! I love that you get cupcakes with it :) Great outfit for a chilly day, you look great! And funny thing, I have that same lip color and it’s so much darker on me! Weird :)
