I think it’s about time that I throw in some fall looks since I’ve had to wear some jackets lately, and the air conditioners are officially off. I’m not sure why I’ve been so anti-fall, because it is usually my favorite season (hello, delicious cider mill donuts!). This look is a great transition for me, as it capture the light tones that I’ve loved wearing this summer, yet incorporates staple fall pieces, like booties and a leather jacket.

I had the wonderful opportunity as a member of the Marshalls Project Fab group to curate a few looks using their fall samples, then model them. It was probably the funnest task I’ve ever had to complete, and I imagined myself doing it for a living and just zoned-off into la-la land ;)

So I immediately wanted to grab this sleek white crepe dress and leather jacket for the look. As soon as I saw them (the Marshalls team gave us a presentation on fall trends) the combination popped into my head and I swear, my eyes grew wider and wider. It’s the perfect transitional look, it speaks well to my style, and is just gorgeous. Did I mention the leather jacket is Joie? If only you could all feel it.. it’s like butter… ahh so nice, and literally 1/2 the price.

So I played a bit with my shoe selection- did I want a black bootie or a neutral one? I knew I wanted a bootie to keep the look “fall” appropriate, but wasn’t positive on the tone. Well, before making that decision I found my pop of color- this turquoise leather bowler bag. With that I knew that it would be the most chic to just keep the rest of my look neutral, hence, the booties.  What do you think?

Thanks for reading and have a good one!

Me encanta, obviamente :)

Wait, I NEED those booties. They’re beautiful!! Way to kill it in white after Labor Day. There are no fashion rules when you can look that good in white!
